I am not a professional astrologer, but I have been studying astrology for the last 36 years, starting in my mid-teens, to satisfy my own curiosity, and later on, to harness the prevailing energies for living my life more mindfully and flowingly.

Given the pandemic and global news on spates of violence, these are indeed turbulent times.

From a cosmic and energetic perspective, planetary movements this year-- beginning with the Saturn (limitations, barriers to progress) and Pluto (inner transformation required to move forward) conjunction on January 12, which occurs only every 36 years-- already indicate this hugely transformational year.

Pluto retrograded in late April. This second week of May, Saturn, Venus and Jupiter retrograded at almost the same time, and Mercury and Neptune will turn retrograde as well in June, with 3 eclipses 2 weeks apart of each other in June and July, starting on June 5.

When larger planets retrograde, they last for at least almost half a year, which means their effects will still be felt until the end of 2020 or early next year.

Retrogrades call for deep reflection and reassessment while eclipses push for collective inner and outer transformations, releasing what doesn't serve our Highest Good anymore.

I have found, over the course of my own life, that these 3 basic Diosa ways sustain and nourish me, however chaotic the external circumstances may be.

For as long as my inner being is at peace, no turbulence from outside can shake me. Here are 3 everyday practices you can do right from your own home, without any expense--

1. Stay calm, centered and grounded. Regularly practice deep breathing. You already breathe anyway, why not breathe deeper when you can and see how that promptly relaxes you and brings you back to the Present moment? Turn away from mental noise and trash -- toxic, violent news and images; social media posts; blamers, complainers, haters around you -- and turn towards more mind-and-soul nourishing mental food instead. 2. Go with the flow in an open, accepting, and non-judgmental way, but tend to your inner garden mindfully. "It is what it is" would be a good mantra to keep in mind, especially for things which seem so much bigger than our power to control. Focus on what you can still do in your own life and do more of those things. Engage in creative projects (cooking, gardening, crafts, art) that engage more of your being than simply being a passive consumer of mass-produced entertainment. 3. Stand in your Light. Focus on your Desires for your life. Make a list of them and build them in your mind. Many times, when troubling, fearful situations come up, we forget about what we really want and focus our energies on what we do not want instead! How do you desire to feel right now, whatever the circumstances? Entertain only thoughts, ideas and actions aligned with how you desire to feel, and ignore the non-aligned ones. Any thought or idea that presents itself to you is just a suggestion -- unless you take it, accept it and believe in it. If you're feeling down, anxious, fearful -- it's okay. Start with that. Feelings are the skin of the soul. They're just indicating to you what's going on inside of you right now, usually because of the thoughts you've been entertaining. So acknowledge them by writing them down in a journal. Befriend them by learning from them: what do you believe about these thoughts that are making you feel this way? Or are these thoughts not even yours, but just unquestioningly imbibed from others? Can there be other possible alternative thoughts about them that you can consider too? Think about these. As you do this, and just practicing staying Present by deep breathing, you let the dark and anxiety-causing thoughts go. Now, as you feel your energy lighten, reach for better-feeling thoughts then. It's always your choice on which thoughts get to live in your mind rent-free. Focus on your Joys. Make a list of them. Do at least one of these Joys everyday. Nurture and nourish loving relationships. Even if other people choose to be unloving, stay kind and respectful anyway. It's not about you. Happy people don't hurt other people. I write about these in detail (how do these principles actually look like in everyday life practice?) in my next eBook, Diosa 1.0: 8 Essential Goddess Ways to Your Royal Life, which I intend to release around the time of the Solar Eclipse (for new beginnings and putting out your heart and soul into the Universe!) on June 20/21, but I'm also open to and aligned with how Spirit also intends to go about this. Meanwhile, if you haven't yet worked on your Diosa 101: 3 Everyday Ways to Unveil the Goddess in You! and My Goddess Journey Journal books, which you received when you subscribed to this mailing list (if you haven't received them, please let me know), this might be a good time to practice them now. I hope these three tips give you helpful points to reflect on and use, as we navigate into the next two very energetically powerful months!
